How we get the personal information and why we have it
The personal information we process is provided to us directly by the person registering for the Obesity Alliance in the capacity of attendee or sponsor, for one of the following reasons:
Contact information to help the Obesity & Weight Management Alliance events team resolve any queries arising from the individual’s registration and / or desire to be a sponsor.
Contact information to help the Obesity & Weight Management Alliance events team facilitate the smooth running of the event for all concerned.
We may share names, job titles and places of work through delegate lists to partners and sponsors of Obesity & Weight Management Alliance events.
We also give individuals the opportunity to sign up for updates about healthcare education, campaigns and events organised by Orange Juice Communications. This is optional and if declined will not prevent individuals from registering for Obesity & Weight Management Alliance or becoming a sponsor for the event. If individuals sign up for these updates, they will be alerted to upcoming healthcare education, campaigns and events organised by Orange Juice Communications by the organisation’s events team. This is the same events team which manages the Obesity & Weight Management Alliance.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep information relating to your registration and / or sponsorship, including contact information, for 12 months. We will then dispose of your information by 1) destroying paper documents permanently and securely 2) permanently removing or deleting data from computers / electronic devices.

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
